O Princess of Mirage<\/h4>\n

Don\u2019t search for glory in the train of the displaced<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t confide in the land beneath them<\/p>\n

There is no land for passersby<\/p>\n

nor carrier pigeons, nor library<\/p>\n

They have torn notebooks<\/p>\n

with mended lines upon which they write their poems<\/p>\n

and memories with which they burden the wind<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t search for desire in their eyes<\/p>\n

There is no room in them for longing<\/p>\n

Everyone carries his mother,<\/p>\n

his father\u2019s will,<\/p>\n

his lover\u2019s handkerchief<\/p>\n

and a bit of nostalgia<\/p>\n

There is no land for passersby<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t search for them on the airport runways<\/p>\n

They are deeply affected by the Immigration and Customs Officers<\/p>\n

Before the names on the houses, a choking befalls them<\/p>\n

and much despair<\/p>\n

They avert their eyes from the gathering of families in parks<\/p>\n

Tales of fires captivate them<\/p>\n

They mock the flags<\/p>\n

and walk alone<\/p>\n

so their features fade in the crowd<\/p>\n

For some are departing and others are left behind<\/p>\n

In memory of defeats<\/p>\n

I mean everyday, they write:<\/p>\n

We are returning\u2026<\/p>\n
